More Than an Evening: Why We Gather for the Spark Gala

When we talk about the Spark Gala, it would be easy to focus on the event itself, the music, the food, and the people in the room.

But that really isn't why we do it.

The Spark Gala exists because we believe in the ministry happening every day at Lake Geneva Ministries and want to see it continue for years to come.

For more than 75 years, people have come through our gates and experienced something here. Lifelong friendships have formed, families have made memories, churches have grown closer, and generations of campers have heard about Jesus.

Those are the stories behind the Spark Gala.

Every Story Starts with a Spark

One of the things I love about camp ministry is that you don't always know which moment is going to matter.

It might be a conversation with a counselor. A camper sitting around a campfire. A child realizing they belong. A family spending time together. Or a church having the space to reconnect and grow.

Those moments may seem small, but God can use them to make a lasting impact in someone's life.

That's what I think of when I think about the word spark.

Generosity Becomes Ministry

Yes, the Spark Gala is a fundraiser. But I hope people see beyond the dollars raised.

They help us care for the places where campers sleep, families gather, churches worship, and conversations about Jesus happen. They help make sure the next person who comes through our gates has that same opportunity.

For me, the connection is pretty simple:

Generosity becomes ministry. Ministry builds relationships. Relationships create opportunities to share the Gospel. And those moments can change lives.

Be Part of the Story

The Spark Gala gives us a chance to celebrate what God has done and look ahead at what's still possible.

And there is a place in that story for all of us. Some give. Some volunteer. Some pray. Some tell a friend about camp. It all matters.

We'd love for you to join us at this year's Spark Gala. Come hear the stories, celebrate what God is doing, and discover how you can be part of what comes next.

That is the heart behind the Spark Gala.

Be the Spark.
